What is torque? Define moment?
Torque is simply a moment of force. Moment of force is just the product of force and perpendicular distance. Unit “Nm”.



What is Moment of Inertia?
The moment of inertia measures the resistance to a change in rotation. Change in rotation comes from torque. Moment of inertia I = mr2. Please note moment of inertia strictly depends upon the axis of rotation.

Magnus effect - Fan wing Aircraft

What is Magnus effect? The flow over a rotating cylinder can explain the Magnus effect better. The cylinder rotates in one direction. The flow gets high velocity in the upper half and hence less pressure. Bottom half is rotating in opposing fashion to the free stream air flow, hence air molecules going around the region gets less velocity and hence high pressure. The high pressure goes to compensate   the less pressure, then lift gets produced. The theory of production of lift from the rotating cylinder is what known to be Magnus effect. What are the common fire detection methods followed in aircraft? Explain them with neat diagrams. Thermal Switch: Thermal switches are heat –sensitive units that complete electrical circuits at a certain temperature. They are connected in parallel with each other. If the temperature rises above a set value in any one section of the circuit, the thermal switch will close the electrical circuit and gives indication to the pilot through indication lights.
